Deeply connected within the innovation ecosystem, our team is perfectly positioned to share your latest and greatest, whether you’re a corporate venture program looking to innovate in an entrenched industry or a startup about to announce its Series A.
Things we want you to know.
Glad you asked.

Yes, and no. As far as we’re concerned, public relations is anything and everything public-facing, from the messaging you use on your website to the posts you put out on social media and many things in between. We absolutely stand behind the importance of earned media - aka media coverage - but public relations encompasses every touchpoint you have with every stakeholder. And if you don’t get those right, kiss your customers, investors, and any other audiences goodbye.

Thought leadership is every word you say that is decidedly NOT promotional or intended to link directly back to your company. It is a golden opportunity to utilize your expertise to weigh in on the bigger trends and topics that consumers, industry peers, and the greater public are interested in - building your credibility and, by extension, creating a name for your business. No, you cannot directly suggest that your AI platform is the best, or point to your own success stories in a Business Insider piece, a submitted op-ed to an industry trade or on your LinkedIn posts if thought leadership is the goal. But having your name and opinion in those outlets, exposed to their massive audiences, will organically boost your profile and make you someone people want to hear from, which can only further your company goals, whatever they may be.
-
Yes. The end. But not because you’re a digital health startup that developed some cool new device. That’s a great start, but what’s necessary to capture broader public attention isn’t the business plan, it’s your story. Do you help veterans or victims of assault? Do your founders have an unbelievable story of perseverance? Is your board filled with credible clinicians, and do you have proprietary data to back up any claims you might make? The point here is - people won’t care what you do just because you think they should, but a good story is everything, and with the right pieces, we’ll help you share it far and wide, no Google or Apple affiliation required (although that wouldn’t hurt).

Our core capacities lie in the Health, Work, and Growth sectors, check out those pages for more in-depth descriptions of who we work with. As for stages, all companies at or about to be Series A and beyond are our sweet spot. We’ve done a little bit of everything, from raise releases and product launches to established communications plans for Fortune 500 companies. And even if you’re not sure you fit neatly into one of those categories - if you’ve got a good story and you’re ready to make some noise, we’re ready to get rolling.

Our client onboarding procedure is pretty straightforward. All clients go through a standard discovery process, usually consisting of at least two one-hour calls to get an in-depth understanding of the business and story. Once those calls are complete, our team gets down to work, crafting a strategy and outlining next steps for any content projects involved. Each client’s needs and plan will be unique; however, this takes an average of 3-4 weeks, and once everyone is happy with the strategy, we’ll hit the ground running to pitch journalists, write social posts, craft brand messaging, and web copy, and tackle any other aspect on a given account.

Let’s be frank - there are plenty of PR agencies out there vying for your business. But they’re not worth your time. We don’t look at our clients as clients - we look at them as partners. We will integrate ourselves into your team, understand your business and motivations, and give you our honest opinion on what’s working, what’s not, and what could be better. Our team has a bit of a leg up on the media side of things, as most of us are former journalists and understand better than most what makes for a good story. But it’s more than that - we’ve worked with dozens of companies, in a variety of different industries, and we know what will resonate with different audiences. If you put your trust in us, it’s the same as betting on yourself, because we only succeed if you do.
