We are seeking a highly motivated PR Specialist to join our team. As a public relations specialist with HeadStart, you will be in charge of helping mission-driven companies tell their stories and navigate an ever-evolving, hyper-competitive media landscape.

  • Crafting strategy, writing pitches, coordinating interviews, and monitoring media trends our clients should be a part of.

  • Curating a roster of go-to media contacts ready and willing to bring those stories to the local and national stage.

  • Identify and leverage opportunities for thought leadership

What do we expect from you? That’s an easy one.

  • You’re passionate about helping mission-driven companies tell their stories and are driven to succeed.

  • You're comfortable working on a fully remote team. While we like to work as an all-hands-on-deck kind of operation - which means being a team player is key - there will be plenty of self-directed work and you'll be expected to own your client accounts.

  • You’re a seasoned professional, meaning it's not your first time pulling a pitch together and some prior experience at a PR agency or as part of an in-house communications team is preferred.
